As a society, it is important to be sensitive to the needs of this particular community – the elderly. Many are staying alone, and left to fend for themselves. With no family to look into their needs, they can only turn to neighbors, strangers and NGOs for simple handouts.
We must remember that they too were young, they too have contributed to society in whatever way they could, during their prime years. Their needs should not be compromised, and we as a society should be responsible enough to care and support our old folks.
On 19th July, 20 packs of groceries were delivered to senior citizens and deserving families at Jalan Genting Klang, Setapak via our delivery partner Lalamove. This group of people were identified by Mr Karthik, Treasurer of a temple nearby.
