Once again, BAC partnered with Rohingya Women Development Network (RWDN) to deliver grocery packs to identified refugee families in need.

On 16th August, 70 grocery packs, sponsored by Creador Foundation, were handed out to the Myanmar Rohingya and Muslim community in the Klang Valley.

Rohingya, is a term commonly used to refer to the Muslim minority in Myanmar, regarded by Myanmar Buddhists as illegal migrants from Bangladesh. Although having lived in Myanmar for generations, they are not recognised in Myanmar, or even Bangladesh. They are stateless.

With many of them having fled to Malaysia, the Rohingyas, together with many other disadvantaged communities have been severely impacted by this pandemic. FreeMakan hopes that groceries delivered to them today will be enough to help put food on their tables.
