It was Merdeka Day joy for 52 families from the B20 and B40 communities in Ipoh, Perak. On 31st August 2021, Mr. William, a Community Mobiliser from Ipoh, and an anonymous donor, partnered with FreeMakan to help families in need from the area.
Mr. William collected 52 packs of groceries from BAC’s accommodation facility The Mansion, which is used as a warehouse to store and sort goods before delivery. Although the donor’s identity is not known, his or her contribution towards giving the hungry a lifeline, shall not be forgotten.
In a time such as this, we see society coming together to help one another, and it is through efforts such as this one that giving back and donating seem more meaningful. It has become part of our everyday lives. Charity bolsters relationships through a shared goal, and working together on a common cause with like-minded individuals make fundraising more impactful.
