UPLIFT Brings Warmth and Support to Praise Emmanuel Children’s Home 

On 8 October 2025, the halls of Praise Emmanuel Children’s Home in Petaling Jaya were filled with smiles and gratitude as UPLIFT in collaboration with Yayasan Kelab-Kelab Rotary Malaysia extended a helping hand to the children and caretakers of the home. 

As part of the ongoing OrphanAid: Ensuring No Child Is Left Behind campaign, this initiative focused on providing essential household items to improve the living conditions of orphans, underprivileged children and those from single-parent or neglected backgrounds. 

Supporting Daily Needs, Enhancing Comfort 

Understanding that a safe and comfortable environment is vital for a child’s growth, UPLIFT and its partners allocated a total of RM4,244 to supply essential electrical items that help make the home more functional and comfortable. These included: 

• 2 Ceiling Fans 
• 2 Wall Fans 
• 1 Rice Cooker 
• 2 Extension Cords/Multi-Plugs (5-Way) 
• 3 Extension Cords/Multi-Plugs (3-Way) 
• 4 Water Heaters 
• 4 Water Heater Installations 
• 2 Ceiling Fan Installations 

Each item was chosen with the home’s daily needs in mind. From ensuring proper ventilation and comfort to providing safe, warm showers and efficient meal preparation. These improvements will help create a more nurturing environment for the children, allowing them to focus on their studies, health and happiness. 

Aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals 

This initiative aligns with UPLIFT’s continued commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequality). 

By equipping the home with essential amenities, UPLIFT and its partners are helping bridge the gap in living standards while promoting the physical and emotional well-being of vulnerable children. The support ensures that every child — regardless of their circumstances, can grow up in a safe and caring environment. 

Compassion in Collaboration 

The partnership between Yayasan Kelab-Kelab Rotary Malaysia and UPLIFT once again exemplifies how collaboration rooted in empathy can transform lives. Volunteers personally delivered the items, interacted with the children and shared moments of warmth and laughter.

The visit to Praise Emmanuel Children’s Home marks another milestone in UPLIFT’s mission to ensure that no child is left behind. Through initiatives like OrphanAid, UPLIFT continues to empower communities, nurture hope and remind every child that they are valued and never forgotten.
