MBSKL Students Equipped with Stress-Busting Tips & SPM Tools

On 2nd December 2025, a team of volunteers from BAC Education visited Methodist Boys’ Secondary School Kuala Lumpur (MBSKL) to conduct an impactful session on Stress Management and introduce students to SPMflix, a free educational platform designed to support students preparing for the SPM.

The programme ran from 11:30am to 1:30pm and engaged approximately 100 Form 3 students. The session was coordinated with the school through Cikgu Nabila, with overall communications managed by Mr. Jayceva from BAC.

The event began with the BACLearn team, led by Ms. Eireen Shaiful Nizam, introducing SPMflix and explaining how students can access free resources to prepare for their exams. To encourage participation, students received notepads and KFC vouchers, for those who answered questions correctly.

Ms. Leong Pik Wah, who is a part of the BAC Counselling Team, opened the session by introducing the BAC Education Group and energising the students with a fun ice-breaking activity - a group wave exercise. This set a lively tone for the programme.

Next, Ms. Shahirah Shuaib delivered an insightful talk on stress, its triggers, and coping mechanisms. She also led an activity where students listed the number of trusted adults they could confide in, reinforcing the importance of support systems. Candies were distributed throughout to keep the atmosphere light and engaging.

Ms. Aidatul Anis Binti Nordin followed with practical tips on stress-reducing activities, while Mr. Chiew Chin Kent (hayden)explained the link between stress and anxiety. He also taught students a simple breathing exercise to help manage anxious moments effectively.

Towards the end, Pik Wah revisited the BAC Education Group’s offerings, gauging students’ awareness of its courses and entities. Hayden then conducted the closing Q&A session, testing students’ understanding of stress management and available resources. Winners received TGV movie passes and candies, adding a fun conclusion to the programme.

The session was smooth, interactive, and well-received, with excellent student participation throughout.
