UPLIFT Supports Families in Kg. Muhibbah with Food Aid

On 5 October 2025, the community of PPR Kg. Muhibbah, Jalan Puchong, came alive with warmth and gratitude as UPLIFT carried out another food aid distribution to 80 B40 families in need.

Just in time to ease preparations for Deepavali, this small yet powerful act of compassion provided not only essential groceries but also a much-needed sense of hope and connection, helping families celebrate the festival with a little less worry.

Reaching Out With Care

Each family received a carefully prepared pack of essentials, including:

  • 5kg of rice
  • 1kg of planta
  • 1kg of murukku flour
  • 1.7kg of wheat flour
  • 2 litres of cordial drink
  • 1kg of sugar
  • A pack of teabags
  • 2kg of cooking oil
  • A bag of assorted biscuits
  • 2 cans of sweetened condensed milk

For many, these items meant so much more than groceries. They symbolised dignity, care and the comfort of knowing that someone was looking out for them.

Compassion in Action

What made this day truly special was the human connection. Volunteers didn’t just hand out aid; they listened, encouraged and uplifted spirits. The smiles shared, the simple “thank yous" and the warmth of community reminded everyone present that kindness is the most powerful form of change.

Continuing the Mission

UPLIFT remains steadfast in its mission to improve lives through practical, community-driven initiatives. This initiative at Kg. Muhibbah is yet another example of how small, consistent efforts can create lasting impact.

As Malaysia continues to work towards inclusivity and economic resilience, acts of compassion like these remind us that progress begins with empathy, and grows with collective care.
