UPLIFT & BAC Bring Crucial Flood Relief to Orang Asli Families in Hulu Selangor

The recent heavy rains and sudden floods in Hulu Selangor have devastated the lives of many Orang Asli families. Most villagers earn their livelihood as rubber tappers and grass cutters, but the floods have wiped out their sources of income almost overnight. Parents are struggling to put food on the table. Children are left without even the most basic school essentials.

On 1st December 2025, BAC Education, in collaboration with UPLIFT and GiveBACk, under its Flood Relief Campaign, sent aid to support more than 100 Orang Asli families in Hulu Selangor.

Through this initiative, 110 provision packs — containing rice, cooking oil, bihun, Maggi mee, sardines, sugar, wheat flour, cream crackers, tea, and condensed milk — along with baby formula and diapers worth RM11,500, were delivered to two settlements: Kg. Serigala, Tg. Malim and Kg. Changkat Bintang, Slim River.

This campaign did more than deliver essentials. It was made possible by the generosity of our donors, whose kindness and compassion turned urgent needs into immediate relief. Their support reminded these communities, often unseen and overlooked, that they do matter. That Malaysians truly care.

Hope Makes All the Difference

As the trucks rolled into the villages, it wasn’t just goods being delivered, but hope. And hope is what keeps families going through the hardest times.

For the families in these settlements, these food packs and baby supplies will provide much-needed relief, easing daily burdens for parents and bringing comfort during uncertain times. But the impact extended beyond material support. The smiles exchanged, the kind words shared and the warmth of Malaysians helping communities in need highlighted the power of unity.

If you’d like to contribute, two flood relief campaigns are currently ongoing, and your help can bring real comfort to families who are struggling right now.

Your kindness can lift someone through a difficult month, remind a child they’re not forgotten, and show these communities that they’re never alone.
